Graduated Malachite Necklace
Malachite is actually a special copper ore known for its beautiful banding pattern of various greens and black. The busy pattern of malachite makes a fascinating material for jewelry, you can't keep your eyes off of it. This is top gem quality material with fine stripes of color and a high polish. With its variety, it looks good with many solid colors, but not with things like plaid.
The Egyptians wore malachite to protect against evil. Even today, malachite is worn by aviation personnel for luck.
NOTE: Malachite is VERY soft, and will be easily scratched. Please take care when storing any malachite jewelry.
