Blister Pearl Pendant
Cultured pearls are made by inserting a small nucleus into an oyster. This irritates the oyster, which coats the nucleus with a special material to protect itself. Sometimes the resulting pearl becomes bonded to the shell and is called a blister pearl. These pearls are no longer useful on their own but make lovely components for jewelry making. We take these blister pearls and add subtle details of gold or silver to further accent the unique aspects of each pendant.
The upper pendant is made with a blister pearl and is gold-plated.
The lower pendant is made with a blister pearl and is silver-plated.
Each pendant is about 1.5-2” with a large bail on top.
Because they come from natural shell, each piece is absolutely unique, so please expect substantial variations in size, shape and color.
