Graduated Snowflake Obsidian Necklace
This stone is so named because it looks like you are looking into a snowy night sky. The contrast between the white and black is very dramatic and stunning. There are also shades of gray and brown in this stone. This volcanic glass obtained its color pattern due to quick cooling and the development of crystallites.
At the clasp the beads are a tiny 2mm, while the focal point of the necklace is a large 11mm stone. Since the process that forms this stone is totally random, expect wide variation in the ratio of black to white in each stone. Overall length is about 18 inches.
